That is because Miss Cecilia Cassini in the above pic is only 10 years old and has been dubbed America’s youngest fashion designer! At the age when most kids will spend most of their time playing around and having fun with their friend, Cecilia is making a profit from selling her unique handmade clothing for kids and teens at Los Angeles boutiques. Quite an achievement for a fifth grader, eh?

She’s not only a fashion prodigy since she started sewing at the age of 6, but she is also designing with a huge conscience and many of her dresses are made from old repurposed clothing. Fancy travelling around the world in tight fitting kebaya and become a part of the World’s Best Cabin Staff? Malaysia Airlines will be having a cabin crew walk in interview this Saturday for stewardess and Sunday for steward! So if you are:

* Malaysian between 18 to 30 years old
* at least have SPM with a pass in BM, Math, English and any other 3 subjects taken (not that hard riiiight?)
*fluent in BM and English
* at least 157cm if you are a female and 165cm if you are male
*good health, good eyesight
*pleasant personality and genuine passion in customer service

The interview will be held as below:

Malaysia Airlines Academy, No 2 Jalan SS 7/13, Kelana Jaya, Selangor
8.30am – 12 noon
20 March 2010 (saturday) – Female stewardess wannabes only
21 March 2010 (sunday) – Male stewardess wannabes only

1. Zahnita Wilson vs Catherine Zeta Jones

Same smile and a little bit of resemblance. They don’t exactly look identical, but they can pass as sisters.

2. Chaka Khan vs Sharifah Aini

Both have powerful voices and the same bee hives hair. I’d say Sharifah Aini looks fairer compared to Chaka Khan and maybe the above pic looks like they are identical because of lighting in Chaka Khan’s part?

3. Amy Mastura vs Coco Lee

Oh I think both of them looks kinda similar except when Coco Lee starts doing her hair all weird Hong Kong diva style

4. Siti Nurhaliza vs Katie Holmes

Maybe it’s their same length of hair and pose that make the resemblance obvious, but try putting one of those pic of Dato’ Siti with her headgear and Katie Holmes in her new haircut. Bet they won’t resemble each other anymore.

5. Dayang Nurfaizah vs Beyonce

I think Dayang Nurfaizah quite like the idea of comparing her with Beyonce because she usually will belt out Beyonce’s songs in her performance. They look a little bit similar, but voice wise, Beyonce is of course way beyond Dayang.

6. Zizie Ezzette vs Renee Zelwegger

My goodness, they really do look a like! Bung Mokhtar’s wife can be in Bridget Jones’ Diary, Malaysian version? I sure think so!

7. Jeslina Hashim vs Britney Spears

Jeslina Hashim sure resemble Britney pre-pubescent face. Honestly, this Britney pic reminds me how does Britney originally look like which is certainly wholesome and sweet! Too bad she looks far from sweet nowadays.

The latest W magazine cover featured Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler steamy photoshoot. She doesn’t look her usual self don’t you think so? Anyway personally I like Jennifer Aniston better than Angelina Jolie  and Brad Pitt looked better back when he was with Jennifer Aniston. I’m not really sure whether Gerard Butler is really dating Jennifer Aniston right now though, but do you think this W magazine cover is some sort of revenge against Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie happy family W magazine cover which they did a few years ago?

Hey, hey look who’s coming back to Malaysia! It’s Zee Avi!

The first person who introduced me to Zee Avi was my husband and I actually found her malay song ‘Kantoi’ kinda annoying! But then for some reason her other song, Bitter Heart actually makes me not so bitter and I found out I like her wispy voice, so I started to be her fan. She’s a little bit like Colbie Caillat because she was ‘found’ online at YouTube by Patrick Keeler of The Raconteurs who passed the link to Ian Montone, the manager of The White Stripes. She’s currently residing in the US since she’s signed with Burshfire Records – a record company that is also partly owned by Jack Johnson. And what’s cooler, she even toured with Pete Yorn last year!

Guess what, thanks to Air Asia, she will be performing in KL this coming 20 March 2010. Unfortunately, I read somewhere that the tickets for her show in KL has sold out, but fret not you still have another chance to watch her perform live for free!
